Ask Sophie: Where Won’t I Go Naked?

I asked the question on my Twitter page what would my followers like for me to write about. Many followers responded with some great ideas. A few of them will take a little time ie. writing a part 2 to my fictional story “Virgin Skin”. But, there was one question proposed I think I can answer right now.

asked “Where would you refuse to go naked?”

This is a great question and one I really had not put much thought into. I’ve been naked my entire life and have been naked all around the world. The thought of refusing to be naked is a bizarre one. Like many Nudist/Naturists, I try to be as naked as possible as often as possible! However, I did some thinking on the subject and I have compiled this list.

1. In a club

Unless it is a private Nudist/Naturist social event with people I know and trust I don’t think I could do it. Going to a club, especially where there is little light and drinking, does not always seem very safe to me. Women who are fully clothed are still sexually assaulted at clubs. I could only imagine what would happen to a young naked woman around a group of drunk males (or females), with loud music, little light, and everyone having a good time.

2. In a photography studio

I know, it’s sad to say, but I really have no desire to model nude (anymore). I did it once, I thought it was a lot of fun, and I loved how the photos came out. However, I did not enjoy the end results. I had a friend in the Czech Republic who was an artist. He was very talented with pain and colored pencils, and he wanted to draw me. The thought of being transformed into a traditional work of art really excited me. The only problem was, I was unable to pose long enough. Sitting still for any period of time is my personal Hell. I can’t do it and I won’t do it. So, the only acceptable option was to let him photograph me. He was a friend of mine and I trusted him, so I didn’t really hesitate. He shot me with his digital camera and saved the photos for his reference. Almost a month later the drawings were completed and I was very proud to be a work of art on display. The issue came almost a year later when someone I know found the nude photos online. I don’t know if someone hacked the artist’s computer or if he did it himself, but somehow nude images of me ended up on a Russian based pornography site. And from that site they had been emailed, tweeted, downloaded, and printed. I had always tried to separate nudism and sex, and in a few short moths they were smashed together. (Don’t bother looking for the pictures, the source site was shut down, and I haven’t seen any of them in a while)

3. On The Moon

Look, it is really far away, really cold, and lacks oxygen. I’m not going, and I am certainly not taking my space suit off!

Ok, so I could only come up with two examples of places I will not be naked. I really couldn’t come up with any more. I love being naked. On the beach, at a resort, in a garden, at a friend’s house, and in my house. I would even be willing to do a naked bike ride or march naked through the middle of a major city. But I’ll be wearing sunglasses!

I hope to make this a weekly thing. If you have questions feel free to ask me on my Twitter page and I will do my best to answer them.

Love and naked hugs to all! 🙂

  1. Once online, always online, and don’t trust anyone. We suspect that this simple message will filter down someday, though youngsters don’t quite get it yet. We’re all in a learning process.

Just remember that whatever you do online, anywhere, belongs to the world forever; that’s a modern fact of life. There is no such thing as privacy, and most folks nowadays don’t expect it as their forebears might have.

So what? You (we) have nothing to be ashamed of in a day when daytime TV shows feature porn stars as celebrities!

What’s done is done and cannot be undone. Live with it without making excuses. You are you and the only people important to you don’t care. No one else matters!

We might add “outdoors in Canada in the winter”. It feels great for a few seconds, but when you’re working the snowblower at 20 below zero, there is something to be said for a good parka.
(That said, we’re trying to keep our clothing-optional events going year round; a good woodstove helps!)

I’ve always wanted to try being a nude model. A friend brought it up once in college but I never got the chance, sadly.
